Our Campaign Pledge:

EuroCommerce is implementing with its social partner UNI Europa a project aimed to deepen the chapter of their work programme dedicated to health and safety. They will do so by developing the issue of health and safety through three main thematic axes:

  • ergonomics, (mainly muscular skeletal disorders)
  • stress at work (work-related stress including absenteeism, turn over and physical stress)
  • psychosocial risks. (including third party violence and mental health risks)

The last two topics are closely linked with the objectives of the ongoing OSHA campaign.

Through the project, social partners will: update their respective websites with a dedicated page on health and safety issues, produce and test implementation of the toolkit in EU Member States and extensive research on H & S in the field of ergonomics, stress at work and psychological risks and finally issue recommendations by social partners to be implemented at national level through concrete measures which will be presented on a regular basis in European Social Dialogue meetings. EuroCommerce is also raising awareness of its members on the importance of H & S at workplace and disseminating the relevant materials. OSHA experts will also invited to the various events of the project. The final outcome will also be made available via the OSHA website.
